At ROV Companion, we understand that offshore operational data is highly sensitive. Our mission is to provide rugged tools that respect your privacy and data security in the most demanding environments on Earth.

1. Data Ownership

You own 100% of the data you enter into ROV Companion. Whether it is inventory levels, PMS schedules, or fault reports, this information belongs to you or your organization.

No Developer Access: We have no access to any of the data stored on your remote server or local machines. We do not "mine" or sell your operational data.

2. Offline Security

Because ROV Companion is an installed application with an offline-first architecture, your data resides primarily on your local machine and your designated central PostgreSQL server.

3. Beta Program Collection

During our Beta phase, we collect minimal information required to provide the service:

• Email Address: Used for account identity and critical support updates.
• License Verification: Periodic checks to ensure authorized device usage.
• Crash Reports: Optional technical logs to help us improve stability in offshore environments.

4. Third Parties

We do not share your information with advertisers. Technical data (like crash reports) may be processed by industry-standard tools for debugging purposes, but your actual inventory data never leaves your controlled environment.
